This is very intersting news about the movie Domino.Read below to get more info.
Loosely based on the true life story of Domino Harvey (daughter of actor Laurence Harvey), this film takes the viewer on an acid trip into the crazy underworld of Los Angeles. Bored with her spoiled-rotten lifestyle, Domino decides to get some kicks by joining a league of bounty hunters. It's all fun and games until mafia money goes missing from an armoured car.
This film was almost over-stimulating when it came to some of the visuals. The fast-paced non-linear cutting style that seems to pervade the world of modern film today is exaggerated a hundredfold in Domino to the point where at times I found it difficult to focus on the images presented. It sometimes left me confused and disoriented, but I somehow found a way to decipher its code after some time.
Aesthetically, this film is very much like a music video, with its violent barrage of fast-action, sex, brutality, and mayhem. There are few scenes that allow you to regain your composure, and of those that exist, they are so full of important plot information your head doesn’t have time to stop swimming. The music was definitely on par with the cinematic action, driving the entire story across a flaming strip of highway.

The performances involved were also scorching hot; Keira Knightley was as untouchable as the bad girl herself and exuded more than just a ‘tough-girl’ attitude – she was larger than life. Mickey Rourke added warmth to her character with an appropriately stand-offish father-figure role that reinforced her hard exterior, and Edgar Ramirez captured the audience’s attention as the male counterpart to the unruly heroine. The love-hate tension between the two was so thick it could only be cut by a machete.

Personally, I love these kinds of movies – movies about bad girls doing bad things and always coming out on top – and this movie was no exception. Although a little dizzying at first, once this ride got started, I never wanted to get off.
